Waste Sludge Pumps

​Optimum amount and age of biomass in the basin is maintained by uniform, regular withdrawal of sludge using a small, rugged submersible sludge pump.

• Sludge pump is located near the effluent end of the basin and is controlled by system PLC.
• Typical Flygt pump size is 3 HP, and utilizes fixed guide rails and portable hoist for removal and maintenance.
• Removed solids are sent to aerobic digestion or other process for further stabilization and/or dewatering.
