Coarse Bubble Aeration

Coarse bubble diffused aeration is ideally suited for the following applications:

• Any application where there is no redundancy and thus basins cannot be easily dewatered for maintenance.
• Flow equalization basins that may be completely empty leaving aeration equipment exposed frequently or for extended periods of time.
• Channel aeration where mixing only is desired or if channels cannot be dewatered.
• Grit Chamber aeration where a spiral flow pattern is desired and oxygen transfer is not a consideration.
• Aggressive or high fouling industrial applications where fine bubble aeration may not be cost effective.
• Small treatment plants where energy use is not a significant consideration.
• Remote treatment plants were maintenance capacity is limited.
• Very deep basins where temperature and water pressure become prohibitive to a PVC fine bubble system.
