Rental expands its network

Pump solutions provider, ITT Water & Wastewater UK, has opened two new Rental Centres in Warrington and Bishop’s Stortford, to meet growing market demand and enhance overall customer service.

As a leading supplier of emergency, temporary or semi-permanent pumping of non-clean water and effluent, Flygt Rental primarily serves the municipal, construction, quarrying and mining industries. Specialising in the rental of Flygt submersible pumps, mixers, aerators and prime assisted diesel pumps, the service ranges from the design, installation and commissioning of basic packages right up to full turnkey installations.

The two new depots bring the total number of Flygt Rental Centres to seven, the others being Grangemouth, Thirsk, Nottingham, Droitwich and Ashford.

Chris Graham, Flygt Rental’s General Manager, says, “We’ve experienced a period of rapid growth in the last few years, increasing our turnover by 90% since 2004. This has been achieved through initiatives such as improving our fleet mix, reducing the age profile and adding new products, like large solids handling submersibles up to 180 kW and super silent diesels, but also by operating the business with dedicated rental personnel.

“The depot network of Rental Centres is strategically located and, together with our 24/7 capability, ensures a rapid response to customer demand. Rental depots are linked by computer to show the location, status and availability of pumps, enabling us to quickly say ‘yes’ to customer enquiries.”

He continues, “To complete the package we have our own transportation fleet, all featuring lifting cranes, to deliver and collect equipment. Additional centres to meet the continuing high demand are planned for the near future.”

To mark the opening of Warrington and Bishop’s Stortford, Flygt Rental is running a promotion to tie in with this summer’s major sporting event. Customers using Flygt Rental from now until the end of June will be entered into a draw to win one of 100 new red England football shirts.
